Some farewells are filled with sadness, but every now and then, there are moments of light that remind us just how beautiful a life can be.

Valarie’s send-off was one of those moments.

As family and friends came together to celebrate her life, we had the privilege of bringing gospel music into the service, sharing songs of hope, love, and joy during a day filled with so much emotion.

And then, as if on cue, the sun came out for Valarie.

It was a beautiful reminder that even in the middle of grief, there can be moments of warmth, togetherness, and celebration.

This is why we feel so blessed to sing at funerals and homegoing services. We know that music cannot take away the pain of losing someone, but it can help create a space where families can remember, celebrate, and find moments of comfort together.

Valarie’s send-off was truly special, and we’re grateful to have played a small part in honouring her life.

To her family and loved ones, we’re sending you love, prayers and strength.
